Physically we are located in Temuco, region of Araucanía, but we move along the mountain range to offer our services.

Nicolás Palma Meyer

Nicolás is the founder of this company, passionate about sport and the mountain since he was a child; Began working on the Villarrica volcano to be trained in Santiago, at the national mountain school (ENAM) as Chilean instructor and guide. Chago began his journey as an avalanche educator in 1998, but his scientific training as Control Engineer and Systems Dynamics attracted him to everything related to the science of snow, fortunately regular participation in ISSW has somewhat satisfied his addiction to science Of snow. In January 2013, Chago left behind Corporate America and is pursuing a PhD in geophysics and snow science at Boise State University, where he is a Cryosphere (Frozen Water) researcher.

Chago is a Certified AAA Instructor, AIARE instructor, and NSP Avalanche Instructor trainer, as well as NSP Avalanche L1 / L2 educator. In South America, Chago teaches Avalanche courses in Spanish, his mother tongue. Jefe de Operaciones de Rutas Australes, guía nacional de montaña, ANGM. Encargado de la Rama de Andinismo y Escalada de la Universidad de la Frontera, Wildernes Advanced First Aid. Formación en avalanchas nivel 1. Ingeniero Civil en Biotecnología de profesión y Doctor en Biología Celular y Molecular Aplicada. Desde el año 2011 que comienza a escalar y hacer montañismo, momento en el que se enamora de las actividades al aire libre, tales como escalar, montañismo, slackline, MTB, entre otras. Desde el año 2012 comienza su formación en montañismo haciendo los cursos deportivos, que dictaba Rutas Australes. Ya desde el año 2016 comienza a hacer guiados de Trekking y asistiendo en guiados de montaña. El año 2018 comienza a guiar a distintos volcanes de la región de la Araucanía y el año 2019 fue parte de la primera formación de guías de montaña ANGM, que impartió la Asociación Nacional de Guías de Montaña. Amante de la naturaleza, el deporte y enseñar, siempre con mucha alegría y respeto, inculcando el amor y el respeto por la montaña.
